SALIENT FEATURES OF THE POLICY
The UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE is a health care policy introduced for weaker section of the society/ BPL.
The Individual Policy will be issued in the name of the earning head of family with details of insured family members.
The policy provides reimbursement of hospitalization expenses up to Rs. 30,000/- to an individual/ family with sub-limits (Maximum per illness Rs. 15000/-)
The benefit of the family will operate on floater basis i.e. the total reimbursement of Rs. 30000/- can be availed individually or collectively by members of family.
The insurance is available to persons between the age of 5 to 70 years. Children between the age of 3 months and 5 years of age can be covered provided one or both parents are covered concurrently.
Pre-existing diseases covered after four consecutive renewals.
Hospitalization expenses incurred for donating an organ by the donor (excluding cost of organ) to the insured person, is covered
Ambulance charges covered
Telemedicine Expenses.
Mental Illness Cover.
Modern treatments and advanced surgeries.
Free Look Period- A period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy to review the terms and conditions of the policy and return the same, if not acceptable.
Grace period of 30 days is allowed for payment of renewal premium.
