Voyage Insurance

Voyage insurance is the cover given to a vessel for a specific voyage from one port to another and is subject to the Institute Voyage Clause. The cover begins at inception of the voyage and terminates when the voyage is completed.

When is a voyage cover taken
Voyage cover is taken when the vessel is plying in a particular port and needs to go to another port for a specific reason or when there is a single breach of the trading warranty granted to the vessel for the annual policy granted to them. Whilst taking delivery of a vessel, voyage cover is granted for the particular voyage from the port of delivery till the destination followed by an annual H&M cover.
